Three Different Views – More in Common than You Think.

Living Free, Prioritizing Dollars, Simplifying Our Lives, Supporting Dreams – Just some common threads found in three blogs that have got me thinking this week. Don’t forget to let me know what you think, just post a comment to add to my thoughts and discuss what is and isn’t working for all of us on this path. Tam

The Art of Making – A thought provoking post over at , Matter and More Musings on friendship and . I plan on renting the movie “Friends with ” this weekend so I can add more to the discussion but I can say for myself that if I had two million dollars to donate to a charity and a friend needed help, that person would come first before strangers because after all I chose them to be my friend. Now, the question would be then… how would it affect our friendship. If you’ve seen the movie and want to talk about what you think, go on over to Money, Matter and More Musings to jump in on the discussion. :-)

Over at Single Ma’s Fabulous Financials - her recent post on “How to Save When You Think There’s Nothing Left” brought a lot to the table for me to think about. Most importantly, my mindset. I just plain have twacked thinking sometimes. I don’t trust my instincts when it comes to decided what I should pay when and I seem to never feel safe when I save rather than spend it… even if every penny goes to bills, somehow that feels safer than saving . I know, I know. It doesn’t really make sense when I say it outloud like that. I’m just now starting to see things more clearly, especially where my thinking has been off.

If nothing else, I’m finally on the right path.

I found a November post that was short and sweet but it hit me just right today on Simplify Life – 5 Basic Needs.

(my thoughts) – As a person that always feels I have to many “things” to take care of and find a place for in my life, I try very hard to not buy things There are those around me that think otherwise. I am forever clashing with them because they often end up needing help getting their basic needs met because they spent their on “wants” not needs. I have few extras in my life but I’m not ready to give them up… yet. :-)

I do know that I won’t be bringing anything into my life, my home that isn’t a need until I get a firm grasp on my . It still rushes through my fingers faster than I can make it. (As in… tomorrow’s paycheck is all spoken for and I hate that!)

Don’t worry, there will be another one in two weeks. My mantra until then – Simply Simplify.
